TOP 100 BEST RATINGS OF 2014
With the end of the year come all sorts of « best of » lists… Today, we look back on the top 100 ratings of 2014 as measured by Médiamétrie. TF1 continues to affirm its leadership with 95 of the top 100 programs of the year. All the way at the top comes of course the World Cup making up the top 5, followed by big movie successes such as Intouchables or Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis. France 2 got the 5 programs of the list that weren’t aired on TF1 with the series Broadchurch as well as a special edition of the news with Laurent Delahousse interviewing Nicolas Sarkozy.
THE END FOR M6 MUSIC BLACK AND M6 MUSIC CLUB
From January 4th at midnight, you will no longer be able to see the latest RnB and Dance hits on these two channels owned by the M6 Group. Indeed, the offer of musical channels is wide both on paid TV and on DTT with notably W9 and D17. At the same time, the rise of streaming video sites (especially Youtube) has left even less space for dedicated TV channels.

TWITTER AND TELEVISION, MORE AND MORE COMPLEMENTARY?
Twitter and Médiamétrie will launch a new tool this month called Médiamétrie Twitter TV Ratings. It will measure the ratings and interactions generated by Twitter linked to TV programs. Indeed, more and more tweeters use the social network while watching TV. Between 2013 and 2014, 18 of the top 20 top trending hashtags are linked to TV shows. According to this new audience indicator, during the latest Miss France, 1,3 million tweets were posted viewed 50 million times by 650 000 people.
